Hold the metronome button until the Drums button starts flashing.Ģ. But I was able to get it in EZD2 by changing the note sent by my kit as follows:ġ. There is no cross stick in any of the Roland kits. I followed Red's advice above and RTFM.įor example, one of the limitations of the TD1-KVs module/snare is that you only get two zones, a hit and a rim shot. However, there ARE ways to change the notes being sent from your TD1-KV. I think they do this to entice you into upgrading to Superior Drummer 3. To my mapping question, there's no way to change the individual mapping in EZ Drummer 2. I then run headphones into the Scarlett and I can drum along to music on my laptop and there's very little latency, I think I get 8ms. Tell my computer to use the Focusrite ASIO. It's USB into my laptop and then I run USB from the TD1-KV for the midi. I ended up getting a 2nd Gen Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. After leaving this for a year, I circled back to EZ Drummer 2 with my TD1-KV, so I am evaluating it again. I haven't found anything on the web about it and figured out some things on my own so I thought I would note it here to help someone else in the future. Just a quick follow up to this post of mine. Is there a setting I am missing to have say, Spotify, playing/using the same audio driver? I suspect the fact that ASIO is taking exclusive control of the sound is what drives the latency so low, so is there a lo-tech or hardware way around this?
#Ez drummer 2 demo driver
I expect that has to do with the ASIO4all driver being in use for sound. I couldn't find anything in searching these forums about mapping with the TD1-Kx.Īlso another potentially dumb question, but since I am listening to the kit through headphones in the laptop, I cannot play along to music as I can through the module. I didn't see any mapping screens inside of EZD2, just the midi device which reads TD1K. I know SD2.0 gives you more options, but I was wondering if it's possible to change the triggering from the kit. I get the ride and the edge sounds but not the bell. I noticed that I am not getting/hearing the bell sound on the ride like I do with the drum module. The sounds are quite an upgrade, but I noticed an issue. My latency was a mess until I got the ASIO4all driver installed, now I get 5 to 9 msec in and out which is fine (I was getting 120msec out with just the regular drivers, ugh).

I finally got it working with a USB cable from the Roland Module into my laptop with 8GB RAM, i7 processor and the latest drivers for its RealTek HD audio card (I know, right?).

I am evaluating the Demo version of EZ Drummer 2 with my TD-1KV kit. I apologize if this is not the proper forum.
